I captured “The Knotted Tree of Elizabeth Park” on a sunny day while walking through Elizabeth Park in Hartford, CT with a friend. While I wouldn’t call nature photography
my specialty, I found this tree to be interesting due to its crooked shape. Serendipitously, my negative was not evenly developed during my developing process, creating interesting ovals of negative space. Currently, the image reminds me of a park in my college town with a beautiful amphitheater and rose garden where I spent many picnics, skateboarding adventures, and group gatherings.
